This is a dictionary/thesaurus widget. By default, it gets its results from dictionary.com and thesaurus.com, but you can also specify a custom dictionary URL.
Features (v1.5):
* Requires Yahoo! Widgets Engine 3.0
* Much better html handling
* Much better performance
* Image support (flaky right now)
* Graphical tweaks
* Colorized background
* A bunch of other things I can't remember...
Features (v1.1):
* Support for many different dictionaries/thesauri/whatever, including multiple custom dictionaries
- Includes preset entries for Dictionary.com, Thesaurus.com, Wikipedia (English), Wiktionary (English), Merriam Webster Online Dictionary/Thesaurus
* Built-in filters for Dictionary.com, Thesaurus.com, MediaWiki, M-W.com (Merriam-Webster), and straight-up webpages
* Loading animation
* Link-handling ability - opens local links inside the dictionary widget
* Windows-only (until I can figure out why things are so slow on the Mac)
Features (v1.0):
* Lookup in dictionary or thesaurus
* Pronunciations are displayed using Unicode characters
* "Compact" view when no definition is displayed
* Dark glass-esque design
Great, except it folds down from the top and then when you go to put it away again, the top moves down. Meaning it doesn't stay in the same place. Am I missing an option?
Whoa!!! This is exactly the one that I would like to add on my desktop. I searched it on yahoo site for the whole day and did not find one. Awesome work+ Thx so much!
Wow this is amazing. If you can do this then do you think you can edit one of the widgets I've been trying to work on? [link] I've been trying to edit this Widget to display Jay Naylor's Better Days [link] . I'm sure it'll only take 5 min to edit but I don't know any java. I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
